How Does Kor Work?
There are a few different Kor products that we can use or provide for you as our patients. However, the best results for whitening are achieved using a combination of the Kor custom at-home product combined with the in-office Kor Whitening product. This process allows us to give your teeth an initial boost of whitening product, under our close supervision, and then you follow-up at home, for a two-week time period with the custom whitening trays. Kor Whitening uses a hydrogen peroxide based gel that helps oxygen penetrate into the tooth, pulling out stains and whitening the tooth deeper than just the enamel layer. This two-step process allows us to use a stronger gel in the office, where we can monitor your whitening process, and then allow you to continue whitening your teeth, safely at home, with the same product we use in the office. This process also allows you the flexibility of whitening during the day, or at night while you are sleeping.

Some at-home whitening products and other in-office whitening products can cause pain or discomfort for some patients. This is especially true for patients that already have issues with sensitivity. The Kor Whitening products provide a desensitizing product along with the whitening product to reduce or eliminate the potential pain or discomfort that may come with whitening your teeth. This makes Kor products unique, and a great option for all patients wanting to have a whiter smile.
What Are the Expected Results?
Kor Whitening products are fantastic for most of our patients because the level of whitening that you can expect is amazing. Following your Kor Whitening procedure and two weeks of nightly whitening, you can expect your teeth to be up to 16 shades whiter. Even for older teeth or individuals that are looking to have a whiter smile after smoking or tobacco use will see dramatically whiter teeth. And with an easy at home maintenance program, you can expect your new smile to last longer than with other whitening products. Just remember though, if you have tooth colored crowns, veneers or fillings, they will not whiten to the same shade as your teeth, so you may need to have them replaced.
